2025 Hidden Voices Calendar

The Denyce Graves Foundation Hidden Voices Calendar for 2025 is a celebration of twelve remarkable concert and operatic performers and impresarios who made important contributions to American musical history but whose stories are not well known. The calendar is a collaboration between the Denyce Graves Foundation and the Duke Ellington School of the Arts, whose students provided graphic representations of our performers. This partnership represents one of the key missions of the Foundation, which is to engage with educational institutions to bring the stories of these singers into classrooms and studios.
 
Each month highlights a different performer with a brief biography and resources for further exploration. The calendars also highlight important dates in African American history.
